One thing is for sure – our team cannot wait to welcome guests back to Evolution London and get back to doing what they do best. However, we recognise that not everyone will want to, or be able to, return in person, and so there is little doubt that hybrid events will become the new norm.

What is a hybrid event?

We define a hybrid event as an event that combines a live, in-person event with a virtual element that offers a way to participate online. Simply live streaming your event to an audience at home doesn’t make it hybrid – the online audience must feel included, with the ability to actively participate in the event.

With various factors preventing people from attending events in person, such as travel restrictions, health reasons and of course a venue’s capacity restrictions, it is important to ensure there is a virtual element to your event, to ensure that none of your audience is alienated.

Whilst virtual events have been a great short-term solution, the atmosphere generated from a live event is very different to that of a purely online event. Hybrid events also give both your online audience and your virtual audience the opportunity to interact with your event and each other, for example through Q&A’s, polls, networking, and more.

Usually host to much larger scale events, we are fortunate that Evolution London can still accommodate large capacities of approximately 750 guests with social distancing. However, depending on your event, your desired audience may be far larger than that. As a substantial blank canvas, Evolution London can be manipulated according to your specific event requirements, with plenty of space to facilitate the extra requirements a hybrid event brings.

2. Revised catering options

Regardless of whether guests are attending in person or at home, we know our clients still want to enjoy top quality event catering. Our in-house catering team, Smart Hospitality, have revised their menus to enable them to deliver directly to homes as well as at the event. We can also arrange an interactive element for those attending from home, to ensure they remain as engaged as those attending in person.

Stream your event to a wider audience so that those at home or in their offices can still watch the event.

SILVER

Bring your guests at home into the live event! Stream your event to a wider audience with Q&A and polling from your guests at home or in their offices. We can include remote presenters appearing on-screen and also on the live stream.

GOLD

Engage with your guests at home and in the venue collaboratively with a custom ‘app’. This allows everybody to take part, whether they are attending the event in person or watching a live stream through the app.
