Gram Vikasâ€™ founders came to Orissa in the early 1970s as student volunteers to serve victims of a devastating cyclone. Their extensive activism and relief work motivated them to form Gram Vikas, which was registered on January 22, 1979, and currently serves more than 3,89,333 people in 1196 habitations of 25 districts in Odisha. Through its direct outreach programmes Gram Vikas works in 943 villages across 23 districts covering 59,132 families of which 39% are adivasis, 14% are dalits and the remainder are from general castes, mostly poor and marginal farmers.

Green Levy

We have introduced a green levy of 50p per guest for our exclusive events. Added to the event proposal, the money raised from this optional cost will be reinvested into reforestation and a variety of other meaningful projects designed to benefit local and global communities. We believe that this small contribution can collectively make a significant difference in addressing global challenges and your support will have a far-reaching and lasting impact. Site Visits

We are excited to unveil a new initiative associated with our site visits. As part of our commitment, for every site visit that you attend with us, we will plant a fruit tree on your behalf for a family in Kenya. This simple act will help create an orchard, contributing to an improvement in nutrition and a boost in income in the long run. We can’t think of a better reason for you to come and pay us a visit!
