Launching the 'new' Evolution London
In summer 2019, Evolution London was transformed!
What’s new?
Previously a temporary structure, unavailable during the summer months, in September 2019 we were granted planning consent for the venue to be open year-round for a four-year period, boasting a brand new, taller structure. The exciting development of the venue came alongside the venue’s rebrand from Battersea Evolution, and was organised to meet the demand of a wider range of events and offers a unique opportunity to attract iconic live TV events reaching a national and international audience.
The dynamic, purpose-built event space, located on an exclusive site in the heart of the Grade II listed Battersea Park, offers a versatile, blank canvas setting with an unrivalled level of flexibility and branding potential. Organise it how you like – this unique venue is yours to transform.
What events does the venue host?
The 5,650m² of unimpeded event space boasts capacity for up to 2,000 for seated dinners, 4,000 for standing receptions and 5,000 for exhibitions. Over the years, Evolution London has played host to a series of top industry events including the prestigious Sport Industry Awards, Cancer Research UK’s star-studded Emeralds and Ivy Ball, and the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival. As is the case every year, the venue also opened its doors to some 25,000 partygoers for 2018’s run of Christmas parties.
Why the change?
Following increasing demand, the motivation behind the upgrade has been to increase space to meet clients’ needs. The new 8m ceiling height will allow the venue to host live televised events and will better lend itself to high-end production events and ‘in the round’ formats. Other upgrades include a sleek new entrance, creating a more impactful and inviting entrance for arriving guests, with new floor to ceiling 2m x 2m glass panels allowing for improved branding potential. The new Evolution London also benefits from enhanced lighting, better production and layout opportunities and upgraded facilities.
